The Five “W”s of Meal Planning

Who, What, When, Where and Why

Who will be eating this meal? At our house, meal time can be one person to eight people. The who category can be very important when there is a large group to feed.

What are you going to eat? This is the whole purpose of the plan.

When are you planning this meal? Breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner.

Where will you be eating? I know this sounds like a crazy category,but if you have children with extra curricular activities this is needed. Half the family might be at sports activities and the other half may be home.

Why plan at all? The answers are numerous. My top two reasons are to save money and to bring the whole family together for a least one meal, once a week.
